Waste Electrical & Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Policy

Delujo Home Ltd is committed to responsible environmental stewardship and full compliance with the UK Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Regulations 2013.

If you purchase electrical or electronic items from us (such as electronic decor, clocks, or home electronics), this policy explains how old appliances can be recycled safely and free of charge.

1. What Is WEEE?

Electrical and electronic equipment includes products that require electric current or batteries to function. These items often contain materials that can harm the environment if sent to standard landfill.

Products covered by the WEEE regulations are marked with the crossed-out wheeled bin symbol, indicating they must not be disposed of in standard household rubbish.

2. Free Take-Back Service (1-for-1 Basis)

In accordance with UK regulations, Delujo Home Ltd offers a free like-for-like take-back scheme when you purchase a new electrical item from us:

  • When you buy a replacement electrical item from delujohome.com, you are entitled to return your old, equivalent electronic item to us within 28 days of your purchase free of charge.

  • The returned item must be equivalent in function and purpose to the new product purchased.

3. How to Return an Old Electrical Item

  1. Within 28 days of ordering your new electrical product, email our support team at info@delujohome.com or call us at +44 7778 764696 with your order number and details of the old item you wish to recycle.

  2. Our customer service team will provide you with dispatch instructions or arrange for you to return the item to our facility.

  3. You can also drop off your old item in person at our Olney premises by appointment.

4. Local Authority Recycling Points

Alternatively, you can dispose of waste electrical items at your local council recycling centre (Designated Collection Facilities). Most local civic amenity sites across the UK accept household electrical waste and batteries for recycling free of charge.

5. Safe Disposal of Batteries

Please remove loose batteries from devices before recycling wherever possible. Household batteries can be dropped into battery collection bins found in most UK supermarkets and public buildings.
